About TX College Tours
As a signature program of Postsecondary Pathways, TX College Tours provides comprehensive and affordable tours of TX public and private colleges.
We see our role as informed guides — offering real-life tours of the different pathways that lead to professional certifications, pre-professional degree programs, community college diplomas, and four-year degrees.

TX College Tours is much more than a travel organization.
We describe ourselves as the hybrid of college admission consultants and a tour group. Professionally, we participate in the Student Youth Travel Association (SYTA) and the National Association for College Admission Counselors (NACAC). Both associations, SYTA and NACAC, are the premiere organizations in their respective fields. Our team is also a member of the NACAC state affiliate — Texas Association for College Admission Counselors.
We provide a comprehensive educational component to campus visits.
Tours include information from the basics of selecting and applying to college to the meaning and practice of holistic admissions. Our team — professional educators and student guides — provide financial aid workshops, essay writing seminars, and more.
Perhaps most unique to TX College Tours, however, is our team’s commitment to be experts on Texas colleges.
Of course, this is a huge undertaking. It requires our own in-depth tours of each campus, lots of conversations with university faculty and students, and even keeping up with each school’s social media feeds. Each school is dynamic, a vibrant organization that evolves daily.
Since we personally research all the data and content for The Ultimate TX College Guidebook, we share part of our homework directly with you!
Our goal is to be able to fully discuss the differences between any program at any two or more institutions.
We want to go well beyond the rankings. What are the curriculum differences between the McCombs School of Business and the Mays Business School? Networking opportunities? The vibe?
When we finish the first round of the TX College Strands Series, you will have the rest of our homework — detailed up-to-date information on the programs and majors! These include pre-professional programs and honors programs/colleges.
We are eager to introduce students to unique education opportunities. Here are three:
The nation’s top cybersecurity program is at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Texas A&M College Station has a completely ocean-oriented campus in Galveston offering degrees in ocean engineering and all types of maritime studies. It is also home to Texas Maritime Academy — one of only six such academies in the U.S.
Conrad Hilton, himself, helped establish the University of Houston’s Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. The school is the only hospitality program in the world where students work – and take classes – in an internationally branded, full-service hotel. On top of that, it boasts a state-of-the-art wine facility and internationally celebrated faculty.
These are only three of hundreds of incredible opportunities awaiting you at the public and private universities and colleges across Texas.
We love helping students find their best college match!
From community colleges to large research universities — it is wonderful to help connect students to a place where they can thrive with others who share their passions. It is so important to feel at home in a place that supports your dreams and aspirations — both in and out of the classroom.
As Frank Sachs said: “College is a match to be made, not a prize to be won.”
We are committed to helping achieve the State’s mission of 60x30.
In fact, we changed the name of our nonprofit from TX254 (referencing our commitment to students in each of the 254 counties in Texas) to Postsecondary Pathways to better align with 60x30. As educators, we acknowledge the numerous options — pathways — for today’s students.
